I'm pretty sure this is going to work out well. I just found out through a business acquaintance that her daughter and son-in-law are going to be moving (military reasons) and need to get rid of their 29 gallon tank. I'm getting more details, but she said she had fish and inverts in it. Daughter says she wants to get no less than $200 and that they probably have at least $1000 invested.

I've sent a bunch of questions.

My thoughts are on how to move it. I'm thinking about transferring contents to some rubbermaid containers and running a heater and maybe air stone off of a power inverter in a van. Then reassembling at my place. The drive is about 1 to 2 hours and I'm figuring about 2 - 3 hours to breakdown and set back up.

Any input greatly appreciated!

If it's only a couple of hours no need for all that fancy stuff. Rubbermaid it and be as quick as you can. Be sure to save the water.

You will want to buy new sand or really clean the old stuff after moving the tank
