Thank you Neo- I appreciate the reminder, Simple and Slow new motto, This is something that I can enjoy the rest of my life so no need to rush and just enjoy the journey! That is where I am. Now i need to read and understand the complexity of the living organism in my unnatural environment. So that is what I am doing reading all the threads matching data received and understanding what I am dealing with to achieve my goal.

looks like nobody else caught this one but you said your nitrIte was .015, is that correct or did you mean nitrAte. because nitrIte at any reading other then 0 is very bad

No Nitrite with an I, It was at the lowest setting on the Kordon test kit I am using.

RFD - I had an issue where my nitrites were reading >0 and I ended up switching kits...the other kits were reading zero, so I went with them...

API makes a fairly decent nitrite kit.
