Reefing newb
I frag them for friends constantly and I use gloves and just razor some off..they arent too slippery. I find they stink if you accidently squeeze them too hard and alot of ooze-ness comes out (I guess?!). The best ones to give away are the ones that crawl up my back glass onto some coral algae and then I just razor the bottom and volia! a stalk of xenia with the perfect amount of stability on the bottom to line up with a rock and poke a tooth pick thru :)
And dear god please dont boil your rock! lol. I decided to do that once when I was trying to get rid of a worm infestation in my nano cube and start over again...I boiled all of it in a spaghetti pot and HOLY HELL my house smelled like Pier 39 crossed with a fish market for awhile haha. I guess I have been lucky in the hitchiker department and never had an evil anemonee yet :) but im sure as I say that my day will come :(
