I have had this coral for 5 weeks and it has not opened fully yet , it attempts to open but never reaches its full glory with tentacles aglow , my phosphates are really high but everything else is normal , could the high phosphates be causing it to remain closed ? :frustrat:
 
Yes, phosphates can impact corals. I think you are overfeeding and I know for sure that your tank is overstocked with fish. That will contribute to a phosphate problem.

Thanks Sarah, will the Red Sea No3:No4 X get my phosphates down to a normal level, I have cut the feeding down to only what they eat in 30 seconds , but the overstocked tank , not much I can do , one of the firefish tried to commit suicide by jumping out on to the carpet , Buzz jumped off my lap to investigate, I'm surprised he didn't eat it before I saved it toodloo
