Longhorn Cowfish??

are these fish as big as a threat as some places say??

im thinking of getting one.....but ive read that if they get stressed they will release a toxin that can kill the entire tank???? is that true or just over exaggerating

(mind you this is a tiny one maybe 1.5-2 inches at most)


anyone on here have any problems with one of these before??

They should be kept in tanks that are at least 125 gallons in size. And I've never had one myself, but the people that have kept them have kept them in tanks by themselves (or with very docile community fish). I wouldn't risk adding them to a tank with other fish or corals... Too many stories of them freaking out. Plus they are pretty demanding fish to keep alive. Not very easy.

Yes to both questions. I have also read a few places that they are a very fast growing fish. I think some of the cowfish are also not suitale for reef tanks
