New Clowns

I just got a pair of Percula clowns.:bounce: Their fins are a little torn from being nipped at in the LFS tank. Do I need to add any stress coat or anything to the water or will they heal up okay? Also, I feed frozen mysis shrimp and Formula 2 flakes. Do I need to soak the food in any vitamins before I feed them?

I soak food in vitamins and garlic every time I feed. I do mysis mainly...my clowns love it. Any smaller frays should heal right up. One of my clowns has quite a big tear that's never closed up. She came that way. Doesn't seem to bother her...

Their fins will heal on their own...congrats on the new additions.

my male clowns fins were nipped up pretty good when i first got him too. Like Smitty said, nothing a little time can't fix..just keep an eye on them and you'll start to see them heal up.

What brand of vitamins do you use and do you feed mysis everyday?

I use Selcon.

Any brand of garlic and vitamins will do. Just feed it to them 2-3 times a week. Their fins will grow back.

Their fins will grow back provided the water quaility is in excellent condition.
