I had some pep shrimp, they didnt do anything, though other have had success. I'm going to try aptasia eating nudibranch for my aptasia problem. They are a bit more expensive though.

i have to cycle the tank first to get pep, shrimp right.. its cured live rock

i put a shrimp in there about 8 hours ago and every since the lights went out the worms are coming out and trying to put it in the rock. What are the worms and are they harmless?

Also if anyone knows what the clear film is that would help to.

Also noticed 4 small snails.

noticed pics dont seem big enough.. here are some links

tank can take weeks to cycle, if it's 90 gal it may take a while. Live rock and sand from an established tank makes it a bit faster. Down side is that you get unwanted hitchhikers sometimes.

If you have the worms, wich are bristle worms and are good to have (they help clean your tank) and some snails then your live rock is good, and it will help keep your cycle small. You will still probably have a cycle though. If you can get more Live rock from an established tank it will help keep your cycle smaller and shorter.

@Kazarko, I havent got them yet, but once I notice all of the aptasia gone I'm gong to try to get them out and on to a new home that has an aptasia problem. I have quite a bit so I think it will take 2 of them a while to get it all. They are pretty small and I have 125gal tank.

Pretty sure I saw a crab last night in a gap of the live rock. Piece of shrimp is no where to be found. Should I make a trap???

yes make a trap! I hate crabs! unless they are porcelein or emerald or sally lightfoots. i had 2 crabs in my rocks that ate 80 dollars worth of fish in a matter of 3 days. and they didnt look like bad ones. trap it and take a picture, everyone should be able to help you decide whether to keep it or not

Guess ill put a glass bowl in there tonight with shrimp in it.

Dont want to start a new thread for a simple question...Can you mix figi and Caribbean rock?

the white film on the rock looks like a spot where fungus is living off some die off, it is common with LR during the curing process, add more flow to it if possible after removing it outside of the tank is what i would do
