new to seahors keeping

what is the best seahorse for a hobbyest ( me) that has been secsesfuly keeping sensitive freshwater fish for over 2 years and about 1-2 monts ago got his first saltwater fish tank after doing months of reserch and has been very secsesful. I want dwarf seahorses but I am willing to pay the higher price if I will have more succcses.

I would recommend waiting until you have a year of general reef keeping experience under your belt, theses guys arent easy and require a lot of dedications.

The easiest seahorses to keep are H. erectus, which can be found captive breed very easily. The dwarfs are the hardest to keep because they only ever eat live foods, which you will have to continually culture, enrich and then feed to them daily. Very few people have kept the dwarves alive longer than a few months because of the extreme challenges associated with keeping them (feeding, predation, and incorrect set up). I spent months researching an easy way to try and keep them, and I found only people that ended up with dead fish. The people who did keep them successfully were spending around 3 hours a day caring for them - not a commitment many can make.

Ummm I think you don't realize that we can go back and see all the other posts you started? How have you been "highly successful" judging from these posts, when you keep asking about problems you are having?

I would suggest fixing your "highly successful" tank that you say "you do not like" before you think about getting animals as difficult to keep as seahorses...

I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but it is frustrating me since you refuse to follow any advice given to you from this forum, you stock your tank irresponsibly, then just repost the same thing saying that things are getting worse with your tank and when people give suggestions, you say that their suggestions "do not apply" to you because you are special.

wow some peoples kids i tell ya, your having algae issues and now you wanna go into seahorses, now im no expert, but what advice people are giving you josh is based on the experiance of others and years of research. one thing is certain in this hobby is never rush it, or you will have disaster on your hands. well said biff on calling him out like that, better to call him out or someone could have wasted the time giving him advice he wouldent follow anyway

I feel like we were sort of due for some ridiculousness! It has been a while.
But, as much as I enjoy the entertainment/frustration value of the nonsense postings and wasting my time giving advice that isn't even read, I do not enjoy livestock health or well being compromised. It makes me jump around in disgust and behave all apely.
So, Josh, old buddy, old pal, please, please, please do not get seahorses. Now, I know you did not care about our algae advice, and I know you did not care about our flame angel advice, but I am crossing my fingers that you will care about our seahorse advice.
