nvm, thats overkill! i jus realized i have an aptaisia!:frustrat: going to the LFS to get aptasia x :grumble: do i have to isolate the rock or will it be safe to just add direct to the mouth?

agreed, but not to hard to get rid of em' once you have apasia x :D how many pounds of rock do you think id need to build a mountain that would penetrate the surface?

what kind of lighting would i need?

If you want you can be our guinea pig and test out the new BeamWorks LEDs: LED Reef Bright
tank is only 18in, otherwise i might've, that looks low on watts though, i have 48 now, i want like in the 75-85 area. im considering adding a stunner LED strip, i was thinking going magenta/blue combo 6w strip :D just to add some color to the tank, still looking for main fixture.. might just leave the one i have...

also i am planning on adding a frogspawn, hulk acans, an assortment of zoas (blowpop, darth mauls, flaming PPRPE, nightmare, molten lava) which will be placed on the mountain i am planning to build with live rock! :bounce:

im pretty new to the whole lighting thing... and i have no idea what all that means. just looks like gibberish to me lol would it be a upgrade from the T5 ho's i currently have running?

I don't know much about it that's why you need to test it. :D

It's probably pretty similar to the Marineland Reef Capable LEDs. The same as about probably 3-4 t5s.

the 18 inch strip of the marineland is the equivalent to x2 T5 HO's which is what i have, dont think im going to gamble on that, ill wait a few months then good companies will have a HUGE line LED fixtures !!!:mrgreen:
