Ok i'm pretty sure this is a bad idea but, no hurt in finding out. So i've been eyeing a baby snowflake eel at my buddies shop. He said he'd give it to me for $10 but, i'm not sure what size tank to get for the lil guy/girl. he offered me a 29 gallon biocube for free (such a good friend) but, i'm not sure it would be right for it. can anyone help me?

thats the thing. i've heard stories of people keeping them in 50 below but, idk i'd really want someone who has experience with them (sorry if that seemed a tad harsh)

You also need to take into account that it's not really a 29g tank. It's a total of 29g of water but, that's including the back chambers.

I think I have a little experience with them. A couple years anyway. I would suggest a 55 gallon tank minimum. The key info though is they are great escape artist. You need a tight fitting top or you will find him dead on the floor. Didnt happen to mine but I know several folks that it did happen to.
