Ooops....my clam fell over...I didnt see it for a while...

My clam isnt looking so good today... Not sure if its dead or dying...

The membrane was still there but he seemed slightly open... ie...the membrane didnt appear to be covering as much as it usually did...

Ill take a pic tomorrow if it isnt looking any better...

This clam has been doing this since I got him....he just falls over then he isnt getting enough light....so I stand him up...he falls over...very annoying.

Hopefully he is ok though....:frustrat:

You should prop him up with a couple small rocks on either side. Hopefully he pulls through!

If he's okay he should respond to waving your hand over it creating a shadow. He should close up slightly and then reopen.

Awe sorry about your clam koda. :( It sounds like he may have been on the way out when you got him.

From the moment I got him he always would fall over...I tried rocks...making a little sand bed for him nothing worked...he would always fall over. Unfortunately, this time I didnt see that he had fallen over until it was too late....

My clam has fallen over too but he is fine. Are you sure it wasn't some chemistry or light issue? I just don't want to see you buy another clam and then have it die too.

I put my clam in a shell and then I can move him around anywhere.

It was totally light...where he fell over he was getting little to no light...

I might steal the putting him in a shell idea... :)
