Question on Zoa

Came home tonight and found one (I guess I could call it) a stem floating across the bottom of the tank.

Very carefully, I removed it and destroyed it not knowing what to do.

I carefully sucked it up my turkey baster, and disposed of it. I read the"Zoa Please Read article" before getting this coral, but why would it have done this, Im feeding on the right sched, and there is no color change on them.

Any thoughts?

Sometimes they just detach... get knocked off or whatever.

I wouldn't worry about it THAT much... I always used my hands, no gloves or anything. But I washed very thoroughly afterwards.

you could have just glued it to a small rock for it to start growing into another colony, thats how they spread

I kind of thought that but if you knew my track record, you'd understand my apprehension.
