Six weeks into this endeavor.

Reefing newb
I am hooked. A friend's roommate was tearing down a 90 gallon reef tank and he sold me all of the live rock and corals and a 48" Aquatic Life light fixture. I am keeping my Marineland 48" LED fixture as well.

My 75 gallon tank looks like it has been setup for years vs 6 weeks!

Some pics and a video. Any help on species IDs would be most appreciated.

A YouTube tour of the tank. The audio track is me playing a Chopin Prelude on the piano.

Wow, your tank looks great. Easy to get hooked, isn't it. I think your Blue Chromis is actually a Blue Damsel. Very minor difference, but damsels are a bit more aggressive than chromis.

Well, the guy at the lfs told me they were Chromis.

I have 3 of them.

I know they are similar.

Will I have any issues when I introduce my mated pair of Ocellaris Clowns in a week or two?

Probably...and the damsels will get bigger than the clowns most likely pick on them...you should see if you can get store credit for them and trade them for the clowns...

Clowns are part of the damsel family, so they might be able to hang in there, but I would be worried about any other fish you add in there.

Personally, I would pull them out now.

They took them back and I got a store credit.

Nice people but the one guy really confused me about the whole Damsel/Chromis thing.

Looking for suggestions for compatible tank mates for the clowns.

Thank you for the heads up on this one.
