When you cut off a piece of a coral to make a second coral piece, you are fragging the coral. Fragmenting it

well its a bit diferant then shooting games lmao,yea it just means breaking or cutting them into smaller pieces,cirtain corals you have to be carefull with not to tear flesh

If somebody frag a coral for me, how do I know if it was a bad frag and it is dead? I just got a few and one of them looks limp (dead).

If a coral is dead, it will be white. Sometimes after a coral is fragged, it takes a few days for the coral to recover. It's fine if it's limp -- that doesn't mean it's dead.
