Whats the Difference

ok i just found out that my LR that i got from my LFS for 4.99lb is Fiji rock, but it doesnt look like some of the fiji rock ive seen around the web, its light brown and white, still good?

It a base rock just put some live rock in the tank and let a couple month then the base rock will become a live rock and dont use tap water and plus you can tell if a live rock is live if it have coraline algae on it

Coraline Algae = It is hard and is mostly purple color

That looks like Fiji rock to me. Where it's from usually indicates its shape, size and density. The color doesn't have much to do with it.

sweet thx. those pics were a pain to get, couldnt find my gf camera so i had to use a

if you google and read about it says that they sometimes will not host to anemones and also the behavior with other fish differs depending on species.

Wild caught often will not host anemones either.

Clownfish do not need an anemone to host, and many clownfish, captive bred and wild will host just about anything in the tank, powerheads, coral, a rock, other fish....you name it. And then..some not at all, both varieties.
