2 months later and this thread is still alive? Love this Forum. Thanks for the response. around X-mas i ended up buying a leather toadstool wich for the last 3 weeks or so began hostimg my clowns. Now I have a Beautiful mint green with white tips LTA I bought last week & could not pass up since...
The thing is I'm trying to not have to get an anemone. I've heard that is best to not have anemones is tanks with corals so i was trying to find something that the clowns would hopefully host with that would be a coral.
Hi. I have a 12G Nano cube with 2 clowns thats been running for the past 8 months no problem. My ligthing is a metal halide 70W 20k K2-Viper. Upgraded tanks powerhead to maxi-jet 900. what i need to know is what corals do you out there recomend for my clowns to host with?
Finally got my new K2 Viper 70w yesterday and my corlas looooooove it! Never have i seen them open the way they did. I thought I was going to have a heating problem but nope... tank stays @ a Cool 77 deg. on and 76 deg. off. . and love the 14k bulb but placed an order for a new 20k bulb. Any...
what about the lights? will it be ok with the nano cubes stock 24w 50/50? I figuerd wit would be ok since there is only really 7 gallons in the display area wich gives it a ratio of about 3.5 wats per gallon. Will it be enough or should i just go pick up a sunpod 70w metal halide and go topless?
The tank is clear of powerheads, I only use the minijet900 that replaced the stock nanocube powerhead for the 12g. So do you think that the BTA will survive with the stock 24w 50/50? Or Should i switch to a sunpod 70w metal halide?
Hi all, I bought a small BTA 2 days ago and i placed it on the highest rock in the tank and it was ther for like 2 days untill i found it this mornig it moved under a natural rock bridge in the back of the tank. The lights i have now it the original 24w nano cube lights. I figuerd it should be...

Hi all. I've had my pulsating Xenias for about 3 months now and noticed that they have been spawning slowly. as I was reading on melev's reef website it said that Since they grow upward toward light, placing them up high will control their spreading. If I was to place them lower in my tank will...
Hi, I noticed this morning something diffrent in my cleaner shrimp. All of a sudden my cleaner shrimp has tonf of green egg looking balls in her bottom section. I've had that shrimp in my tank for about 3 months now and added 1 month ago a smaller cleaner shrimp. if it is having babies, what are...
I currently do have a skimmer and my ph stays @ 8.2 constant. I use purple up everyday to keep my calcium levels up and it also keeps my ph levels at the levels metionesd abovedand test my tank paramaters 2 times a week and for the last 6 months its been perfect and my temp is even constant @...
HI. WEll I'm a bit confused of what types of lights to get. I was looking into buying nano customes 12G Hoods that are direct replacement for my hood. The had 48W and 68W. My question is would this be sufficent light to host SPS coral? I have now the original 24w and have frogspawn, pulsating...
Thanks for the honest Answer. I will take your recomendation and leave getting a manderine for later on when i set up my 95g in the living room. I wouldent want to do any harm to any animal at all especially such a delicate creature like the manderine.
The maderine I'm talking about is really small and not to mention is eating frozen brine. But would it be abel to stay alive lets say even if it dosent eat brine if i was to keep supplying on a monthly basis lived copepods when I do my water changes every month that i buy at my LFS?
