You will have no problem with ANY softies with that light. Go ahead and pick up a mushroom or 2 or maybe some polyps of some kind. Do some re search online for some hardy/beginner corals. liveaquaria.com is good for info on corals.
Your clowns look like Clarki Clowns to me. great deal at 20 bucks!!! good additions. And yes... they are known to host an anenome or a hairy mushroom but i wouldnt worry about it. Its 50/50 if they host anything at all and they do not need to host anything to stay alive. they will do just...
Damn!!1 Someone noticed they were just thrown in the tank after acclimation:bouncycig., That will be fixed in a few days. Have a lot of re arrangeing to do. The brain coral is a beast and will sting anything near it.
purchased a few corals from a swap nearby last weekend. 1 pink acan. 1 red rainbow acan. 1? ( its orange with yellow/ green polyps. sunrise or sunset somethin or other. )let me know if you do..... and a couple other little things. here is the pics...:bounce: oh yea... and an orange and green...
you could have 6000 shells of all different shapes and sizes and the hermit will probably still want the occupied one. They are mischevious little ******* like that.
It says in your descrpition your tank has been up since feb 3rd 2010. If so.... I agree with the stress, but also... a tank that new is not ready for inverts yet, as they can be hard to keep. IMO but maybe i missed something
I dont think you do, They are great cleaners but they are also great snail killers. I just wouldnt buy anymore but i think the ones you have will be fine.
i like the pinstrip wrasse in my reef. If your looking for the Anthias i think the squareback anthias is nice. i would go with 1 male and 2 females IMO
That is WAY to many crabs. i have never heard of 1 crab per pund of LR.( i would have 140 crabs in a 72gallon) Snails will be a good choice but with that many (10) crabs in there the will be eating them and stealing the shell. How long was the tank established before? If it is a fairly new set...
:twocents:
I would not reccomend that with chromis. They will just about for sure attack eachother if not added at the same time. I would buy 3 from the same store from the same school if i was you. You will have a better chance of them getting along and the bioload on a 90 with adding 3...
I know what you mean. Im in the same boat. mine grew so fast and is taking up a lot of room now. recently stung and killed a green/purple plate coral as well on a "midnight walk". I will put the word out to some friends to see if they are interested.
