After adding a few SPS corals to my tank I noticed my Alk starting to drop, it took about a week to go from 10dkh to 7dkh. I didnt want it to drop below 7 so I bought a 2 part solution. I add it it the morning and my Alk rises to 8, the next morning its back down to 7. Is that normal to drop 1...

The test direction say to count the drops till it turns yellow. Well, It starts to turn yellow at 8 drops, and by drop 11 its bright yellow. Witch one do I go with 8 or 11?

A lot of sites describe lighting requirements as low,moderate or high. I have a 29 gallon with 4 T-5 HO 24watts each, what would that be considered? I was thinking of trying some LPS corals, im not sure if i have enough light.Thanks.

I just set up a Odyssea HOB refugium/skimmer and the power head (Odyssea 250) is not pulling any air threw the pump. The air line actually fills with water. I can blow air threw the line but thats it. whats the problem?The tank is 30" long and the Refugium is 24" long

What is the correct way to view the results? I'm trying to read my Nitrate levels but depending on how you place the tube on a white background the color changes. If i hold the tube directly on the white card so light cant penetrate the back of the tube, its darker than if i hold it a few...

Its in the middle of the Mushrooms. It almost looks like seaweed but its not soft, its stiff, thin and branches out.

What are a few good types of beginner corals? My only experience with corals is Mushroom corals. A few years ago I bought a rock that had a few, now I have about 50. What else is as hardy as Mushrooms and would like my current light setup. I have PC lighting w/2 65w bulbs on a 29 gallon. Thanks
