Eric's 90g AGA Build

Hey guys I came up with this design for my water store/mixing station. Any comments are welcome and if you have a better way of making it better/easier please feel free to say so lol.

If you don't get how it works I'll be happy to explain but its actually very simple. Thanks

P.S. if you click on the top of the picture it makes it bigger and it is easier to read the labels

ok guys not much to update on since Im waiting on UPS to deliver the things I order so that I can continue with the build. I did add an egg crate to the bottom of the tank to no place the rocks directly on the glass. I was also seeing how level the stand and tank are and took some pictures to get some feed back. Do I really need to shim the stand to level the tank or should I be fine with the way it sits right now?

This is the top of the stand.

Now with my 4 foot level on top of the tank I noticed this... There is a gap in the middle of the tank between the tank and level and the corners are touching. Could it just be that the trim was no push down more in the center than on the corners when the tank was build? Should I be worried?

You should be fine to be honest. The stand will settle with all that weight and even out. If you feel better about it, shimming wouldn't hurt but I think you're okay. You stand frame may be level and the plywood top may have a slight bow in it causing it to not sit perfect but again, I think you're okay.

Thanks. I was thinking the same since when I finished the frame it's leveled and the difference now is not a lot.

great stand....i tried to create the doors for mine and they suck!!! how did you make yours?

Thank you and which doors are you referring to? The canopy doors or the stand?

It should be fine. There isn't a lot of difference between the bubble touching a line and dead level. What you wouldn't want is the bubble outside of the lines, which is a lot out of level. As it is corrected it takes less and less correction the closer to level it gets. Where yours is sitting would require very little correction. A slight warp in the stand or floor could easily account for it.

Yea I lifted the level from one side till the bubble was dead center between the lines and the gap is really small so I'm just going to leave it like. I'm sure once is filled with water, sand and rock it will leveled out.

Another small update. Just finished getting the lights installed. As of now they are about 6-7 inches of the top surface but not sure if it'll stay like that or not. I took these pictures with my phone so they are not the best. The lights were on "Cloudy" Mode.

From what i read on LEDs, Not sure if its true for all LED's But you want them anywhere from 9 to 12 inches From the top of the water. Im pretty sure if you can ajust your brightness it will be difrent. i have mine set at 10 inches from my water and everything is looking good.
