Well the inevitable has happened, after putting the anemone in last night I think it's started dieing, the tentacles have gone all long & trapserent, they look like smoke fixed to the anemone... Here's some pics....

It definatly has more than one mouth...hopefully it will split into 2...

Another quick question, it looks as if it has 2-3 mouths, is this common in this type of anemone?

Well this is what I bought, I'm a little worried about what everyones said so I'm going to keep a look at it for the next week or so, hopefully it will be ok...

It's been running about 6 months & seems really well, I have a 250w light so that should be ok, I think il get one & keep a close eye on it.

Hi, I'm on my way to getting an anenomne & just wondered if there's anything I need to know / get..I know they eat frozen shrimp & prawns & I know it will make a home for my clowns but apart from this I don't know much else, any help would be great. Thanks. Mark

I did think that but hopefully it will be ok as I have a simlar thing holding my venturi on & that's been ok, + the metal is a very small part of the clip but I will keep a eye on it though for corrosion. Thanks

Yeah, perhaps that might be the way to go, although I'm not keen on them as I don't think the filters are very good, thinking about a sump now then...

I got some aptasia-x today & I got to say it's fantastic, really does the job, killed both types of pest anemone in minitues, I didn't want to kill them all at once because of nitrates, ect. so only did 3, going to do the rest soon, after a water change, Would definatly reccomend this to people...

Well that's that over, I went back to the shop today & it was a reef lobster, red at the back 2/3rd and blue at the front, it was really nice & was only £18 but the man in the shop said it WILL eat my coals, he also said it will knock the rocks over which I'm not so worried about but I definatly...

The tank is in a log summer house in the garden so it gets extremely hot in here, i have got a fan running aswell but I find there's alot more evaporation using it for some reason & besides I payed £100 for a new teco chiller, pump & fittings so it wasn't to bad.
